Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana began learning to sing and play music at an early age with her mother. The formal vocal training when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. While a student, and as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at private parties and events singing traditional Latin American Music. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially among the younger generation to keep this tradition vibrant.
